GYMNASTS
Breakfast, Lunch and Afterschool sessions.
Watford gymnastics offers all schools the opportunity to have qualified coaches run sessions at their schools.
These sessions are between 45 minutes and 1 hour. The pupils will learn the basic skills of gymnastics. The pupils will also have the opportunity to achieve their British gymnastics proficiency awards up to level 1.
PPA cover
We also offer all schools the opportunity for us to cover their teachers' PPA time. We are very aware that gymnastics is one of the sports on the curriculum that can be scary for teachers to teach. Our coaches can teach gymnastics in a pe setting to a full class. The classes are structured to enable the pupils to understand gymnastics and try it in a safe learning environment.
Teacher Training
Our coaches can come into the school to run a teacher training session at a one-off fee. The teachers will leave the training session more confident to:-
- Plan gymnastics PE sessions
- Break down skills into manageable pieces
- Use equipment correctly
Attention parents
If you are booking into a class that is based in your child's school, you DO NOT need to pay a joining fee.
When you book a class, you will be asked if you are booking into a class based in your child's school, or adult gymnastics. You must click YES to make sure you are not charged a Joining fee.
